DORCHESTER BOARD APPOINTMENTS
Dorchester Pacific Limited (NZX : DPC) today announced the appointments of
Michael Dossor and Antony Vriens to the Dorchester Pacific Limited Board and
the retirement of Greg Peebles.
Michael Dossor has been Chairman of Turners Auctions since 2003 having been
involved with the company prior to its listing and separation from Turners &
Growers Limited. He was managing Director of Turners & Growers before
retiring in 2005. He remains a director of Turners & Growers, McKay
Shipping Limited and investment company Bartel Holdings Limited who now have
a 7% shareholding in Dorchester.
Antony Vriens has been a director and Chairman of Dorchester's insurance
subsidiary DPL Insurance Limited since 2012. Antony is a highly experienced
and commercial financial service professional with demonstrated success as a
senior executive and consultant in insurance and wealth management businesses
with Australia and New Zealand.
Dorchester Chairman, Grant Baker, welcomed Messrs Dossor and Vriens to the
Dorchester Pacific Board.
"Michael and Antony have been closely involved with operations that will
provide increasing profits for the group. We are excited about the
opportunities that arise with our recent acquisition of the Turners business.
Likewise, insurance sales are growing through external channels, but the
additional opportunities to market products through Dorchester Finance,
Oxford Finance, and Turners makes DPL Insurance a key profit driver for the
total business."
Mr Baker also wished to note the significant contribution made by retiring
director Greg Peebles. "Greg joined the Board in 2011 when the challenge to
re-establish the business post moratorium was in front of us. His advice on
credit and funding has been invaluable and he leaves the company in great
shape and well placed for further growth."
