Pumpkin Patch - director changes
Pumpkin Patch, Australasia's leading speciality childrenswear brand, has
today announced the appointment of Josette Prince as an independent
non-executive director.
In making the announcement Chairperson Jane Freeman commented "Josette's
appointment is part of a wider review of the Board being undertaken to ensure
the skills and experiences on the Board support the future strategies being
implemented. We expect to announce further Board changes in the coming
months".
Ms Prince has held a number of senior executive roles in the Fast Moving
Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry and is currently General Manager Sales and
Marketing at Griffin's Foods Limited. The Board of Directors has determined
that per Listing Rule 3.3.2 Ms Prince is an independent director.
Freeman said "We are delighted to have someone of Josette's calibre join the
Board. Her commercial sales and marketing experience in highly competitive
and brand focused organisations will be invaluable to us as we move through
the change process we have embarked on. Our brand values and the strategies
we use to communicate and interact with our customers are critical to our
future and this is where Josette will really add value."
Director Sally Synnott also announced her retirement from the Board today.
In confirming her retirement Sally Synnott commented "I advised fellow
shareholders when I was elected for my current term that I wanted to step
down and find people with fresh skills to navigate the company through the
new omni-channel retailing environment. The company has embarked on a major
change process, it will be exciting for Josette and other potential new
directors to help steer this. I believe, with time the results will also be
exciting for us, the shareholders."
Freeman added "On behalf of the Board I would like to thank Sally for the
immense contribution she has made over the years as company founder, senior
executive, and more recently as director. We will more formally acknowledge
Sally's contribution at the shareholders meeting in November."
