There hasbeen a bit of comment in recent times regarding phosphate on Inca’s tenements followingtheir ASX release of 28 March where they said they were going to assess the phosphatepotential. I thought I might add a bit of detail around the “Feature 1” depositshown in Aubin’s post from today.

IMC carried out a large drilling program between 1967 and 1969 and released a resource estimate. The map below shows drill hole locations with grades greater than 10 %. The area circled in red is the area just to the south of the JS magnetic anomaly which is Feature 1 shown in Aubin’s post.

The next plan shows drillhole numbers that comprise the “Feature 1” resource.

The next 2plans show cross sections through that Feature 1 resource for N-O and R-S

This next plan shows contours depths estimated to the top of the phosphate beds for the region around JS. I have highlighted in yellow the location of the N-O cross-section. The numbers shown in this plan are in feet and not metres.

This next plan ties in the location of the Phosphate cross-section holes with the JS gravity high as well as the Magnetic contours.

IMC alsoassayed about 50 of the 250 odd holes that they drilled for copper, cobalt, nickel, lead and zinc.

This is one of the cross-sections showing anomalous lead values in addition to phosphate

There are afew holes that have mainly anomalous Pb and Zn values. The highest value wasfor hole 83, sample 38770 at 25 feet which assayed 2200ppm Pb. The location ofthat hole is just above the gravity trough shown in the gravity and magneticplan above.

Details ofthe assay results are available on this link.

I am nogeologist but after reviewing the historic drill results I can’t help but thinkthere is a Pb-Zn SEDEX deposit to be found somewhere in this region. Let’s hope that the results from the JS drilling can confirm that in due course.
