Dear Franna,
Who knows what the price will be? Predictions of modest gains are silliness. These are extraordinary times; the combination of the debt/deficit levels, inflation rate and unproductive economies means normality has gone. Add the drums of war and you’ve got the makings of chaos. The old days are over, sadly. I consider this a new era, where anything is possible. This means gold isn’t going up 5% a year now, but in double figures.
Whilst high gold prices are good for investors, it will really speak of major trouble, which is terrible more broadly. I fear that stability has left the stage, portending wild jolts and shocks we can’t accurately measure. The deluded politicians and voters have sown the wind…
