The map above shows the tenements to the NE of Monte Alto (-13.346, -39.620). The N-S ridge line is outlined by thick contour lines at 600m. Thin contour lines at 400m outline the valley of alluvium flow down from the ridge. Areas that are highly reflective of SWIR (Short Wavelength Infrared Radiation) are pink.

There are several causes of high reflectance, but one of these is "rock/soil" type. It is interesting that the shapes of the pink areas below the 400m contour seem to be strongly influenced by the apparent direction of alluvium flow.

The channel of disgorgement into GMN 872221/2023 can be seen at (-13.300, -39.580).
