If the ASX rejects an ann. it results in a forced suspension (or continued extension if already in one) accompanied by a query letter in my experience i've never seen an extension deadline missed with no market announcement outside of sloppy management.
Considering it's two hours after opening expect a forced suspension extension by the ASX tomorrow (they alway wait till the next buisness day) and a fine.
