Really glad to see your comment Minstrels.
IMHO , The basic reason is that Mithril's fundamentals are so sound that it's stockholders are hedged against inflation AND every currency debasement .

Another reason is that there is a rotation from cryptoccurencies to gold. Especially amongst the small cap traders there is strong the spirit of gambling rather of investing in a long term .

But Institutional investors were deeply into crypto curencies. It was them that sold massive amounts.

The downturn of cryptocurrencies hasn't been ended. Market participants fear that a further downturn will have repercussions to the equities market due to the leverage position of institutional investors.

FED is in process of regulating cryptocurrencies , starting with taxation on profits.
