If 100k is a fortune to lose for your family, as it is for most, you shouldn't be investing it in speculative stocks like ARL.
Many lessons to be learnt as I know you appreciate, but please diversify and only put what cash you can afford to lose into speculative stocks in future; for the sack of your own sanity and your family's wealth.
I usually allocate a maximum of 5% in too have to any speckie, and if they rise, I take profits so I am essentially free carried.
I too have lost a massive amount for me on the move down from $2.10, about $20k, but sold 40% at $1.99 so 100% free carried and about $10k profit locked in.
I know this deposit will get into production eventually, so happy to still hold and now my remaining holding is back towards 5%, looking to time purchasing more. No urgency though.
