Anyone able to provide the Cameroon Mining Regulations??.. I can't seem to find it. I have found the Code but not the Regulations.
The reason is that it appears the ESIA Certificate now ticks the SECTION 135: (1) box.
Now if Canyon Resources has complied with all conditions within the Regulations then the following sections of the Code are fairly definitive:
SECTION 42: (2) The holder of an exploration permit who discovers a deposit and proves such discovery shall be issued a mining permit for the said deposit, provided he fulfils the conditions provided for by this law.
SECTION 46: (1) A non-industrial or industrial mining permit shall be granted by right to any holder of an exploration permit who has provided evidence of the existence of a deposit within his perimeter.
Therefore if all conditions of the regulations have been met by CAY (as we have been told) and the Cameroon Mining Code 2016 is adhered to then an Industrial Mining Permit MUST be issued... simple right?
