I've commented on SHL previously and agree with many of the comments. It's a drop dead boring investment and I'm of the opinion that given its track record over such a long period since listing on the ASX, it should be held in the same basket of companies such as WES, BKW, SOL etc.

I can't analyse or predict its future, but given the company's history, It would be fair to state that SHL is a solid company. I understand that profits and revenue are two different things, but I'd suggest that their earnings will increase over time and they continually state that they will pursue their progressive dividend policy. Franking credits have fluctuated wildly over the years. But SHL is like the Woolies of the Healthcare sector. It's a reasonable option to have in a balanced portfolio. Sure, there's more to the story. But I like these two slides in particular that were part of the 2023 AGM presentation.

Given the fact that the healthcare sector in general has been unloved, I'm of the belief that there's potentially more tailwinds than headwinds for Healthcare over the next decade. But like anything, how much do you want to pay?
