Let me put my thinking cap on here...
Petra Capital didn't just hand over $1m. They were the lead manager and were paid 6%.
There is nothing in either announcement confirming Petra Capital put any of their own capital into AEV.
So why would Petra clients participate?
Flip for pips. It's close to tax-loss selling time. So if the new holders cannot make a profit then maybe they can gain via a loss. It's how the spec sector works.
But I think you know all this already.
To the bulls in here... AEV has been in a TH/suspension for 10 days, have raised a small amount and are still trying to kick the debt can down the road. Does this suggest raising has been easy and people are lining up to throw money at AEV?
