Old Pirate & Golden Hind were always feasible mining operations. The problem being that for the most part they are narrow vein & so cannot support any open cut operations below a certain depth. This is where the clowns of ABU got carried away. They had no mining expertise & were so arrogant that they did not employ or even consult an experienced mining engineering consultancy. Whether this was a deliberate strategy or just blind ignorance only a few people know. We peasants will never know the whole truth.
