I think it's a given that any discovery and resource defined from 0-40m will get stripped by locals.
At the moment seems we will be lucky to keep the legal exploration title, never mind suggesting it gets enforced.

But seriously, if it was not for artisanal there would probably be no discoveries at all so there is that. Just hope the gold continues in bulk below 50m and is sufficiently low grade to not tempt the artisanal to go deeper than they already have been proven capable of.

Seems that other Li grant that was imminent also held up. Seems then that this is a move against the company despite all the ESG and money poured into local communities and overstuffed employment programs.

But honestly cannot see how MKG can be denied lease renewal without Ivory Coast proving that it is just another corrupt basket case where powerful officials succumb to bribes.
