Named or anonymous buyer, nominee, shorter, manipulator, ‘bot’ … or the good old fallback of the conspiracy theorist … ‘they’ …
… in an open market you, me, Mickey Mouse and all of the above get exactly the same opportunity to buy or sell or hold at the same price at the same instant in time.
End of story.
If we don’t like where the price settles on a given day, then tough - plenty of exciting fixed-interest products available.
