It did appear to be a DD hole targeting nickel.

Where it gets interesting is after it was drilled, a soil anomaly was defined right next door to the drill hole. I was wondering whether the DD drill hole reveal any of interest in relation to lithium &/or assisted the decision to do soils in that area As you linked it was drilled as a Nickel target.


I think the drill hole was just a few metres south of the set of lithium soils that extends all the way across the graphic below (off to the lower left of the Y shaped anomaly.


From Sentinel, the drill hole is just to the right of a line extended from the road. When TG6 created this graphic, the DD hole would appear to be a black square that is 90% covered up by the blue pointer. The little black dot is exactly where the DD hole should be. Its also close to where you would drill to target that little "Y" soil anomaly. From the earlier nickel map, the Y soil anomaly therefore starts at the edge of the Ultramafic/Mafic area and the Y shape may possibly represent shape of the Mafic area bounded by ultramafic.
