Perhaps you could do some research, starting with the Dimerix website, and especially information on their drug discovery platform. This platform is designed to identify conditions where a combination of two drugs are indicated to treat the underlying condition (hint: the "Di" in Dimerix means "2"). In the case of DMX-200, the two drugs are Propagermanium in conjuction with Irbesartan. The former has been around for decades as a non-prescription "health tonic", the latter is an off-patent angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) used to treat high blood pressure (which can be damaging to kidneys).
