Based on the port stocks at Chinese ports it will take about 6 months for the GEMCO shortfall to create a meaningful shortage in the market. But I would very much doubt if S32 will be endeavoring to bring the mine back on before some price uplift occurs. Why would they? They have 6 years mine life left, why not have those 6 years at high prices? I would expect them to try to time a return to production for the time when shortages will start to bite.
