I'm a geo crusty, i've worked in exploration and mining of komatiite-hosted and mafic-ultramafic hosted systems at varying times over the past 25 years. But have not got the academic depth of Ben. That's for sure.

For these disseminated systems the first thing you want to resolve is if the elevated Ni you are seeing has an association with magmatic sulphides, if that is ticked, then pretty soon after that you want to know how much of that Ni is in the sulphides. In 50% MgO systems that is a very important question and the silicate phases will commonly host 0.2 to 0.3% Ni. That hasn't been definitively answered yet. Lot's of talk of likelihood and potential. it's an important question.

I'll watch from the sidelines for curiosities sake. I'll remain a non-holder. If they get onto some massive I may change my mind, though that basal contact is a looong way down, they'd be hoping for remobilised. good luck.
