Not sure, however I was in VEI when they had two takeover bids one came in offering 88c per share, VEI suggested holders do not take the offer and a two weeks later another Chinese crowd offered 1.08. Share price instantly jumped to 1.08.
Probably not 100% accurate but this is what I remember of the situation.
So what I'm getting at is the share price hopefully will match whatever the takeover bid sees the value of the company at.
Not sure, however I was in VEI when they had two takeover bids...
