As per the announcement on 21st Oct they spent :
$587.9 million buying back shares at an average price of $5.69
$449 million was paid to shareholders in dividends
At the time 103.3 million shares had been cancelled which equates to $929.7 million extra market cap at todays rough share price of $9
That's 103 million shares that they don't need to distribute dividends too leaving more for the remaining shares.
This is good management.
Just quit whining. If you don't like it sell up. You won't be missed
