Exactly. This news is expected imho because otherwise they risk the takeover failing if they don't get 50%. If anything it shows even more how hungry they are for AVB. Essentially they are now happy to proceed with the deal even if they don't get their original terms...this shows they are now willing to compromise in order to get AVB. Next thing you you know they may compromise on the value of the offer too.
