Pete...try charting copper against other commodities as well and I am sure you will find a lot of similarities.
Generally it is thought that copper price is a good indicator of economic health and gold is bought up in times of economic uncertainty. This would suggest that copper and gold prices should show opposite trends, but as you can see that is not the case.
As for the shares I think sentiment towards AVB is improving a lot and it is obvious that buyers see 5c as a good buy and sellers don't want to sell any lower. Buying those 600000 shares won't kick start a rally in the share price unless you do it everyday for a week or 2. I woudl be happy to just see the share price gradually grind higher from here.
Barring a disaster or the unexpected then the only way from here is UP!
