its not like AISC are $2 and copper is $2.10, we have a great buffer in terms of production costs and spot copper prices.

Well I have to ask then.

If you are such a huge gold bull, why are you sniffing around AVB?
Why are you trying to link copper to gold?
Are you already heavily invested in gold and looking to diversify?

AN is not producing huge tonnages of copper yet. So small production coupled with a healthy pofit margin means that a lift in copper price does not lift our profits that much per share. A low margin producer of high volumes can see there profits double from just a 10% rise in commodities price. But the are also much more vulnerable where as AVB has some of the best profit margins in the industry. We just not production to increase.
