I think I get it somewhat, I Take DEC 2013, gold was US$1200 and copper was still US$3.20, and the ratio was 0.18, so I think the higher the ratio, the more expensive copper is to gold.
The lower the ratio, like it is now 0.14, copper is clearly cheaper, because recently gold has rallied, but copper really has hasent.
