I'm glad you said Geologically speaking for a moment there the dirt track mind was conjuring all manner of scenario's ........OK with my extensive knowledge of drilling I would send a rubber bladder of highly concentrated sulphuric acid with an electronic fuse down to said blockage and blow that mother thus using the corrosive nature of the acid to gobble up anything and everything it touches.
As you may well have realised by now I know nothing of drilling but by Jeez it would be fun to experiment!!
