Tough gig, this, for junior miners, and these risk-averse times are so unrelenting.

Why would anyone rationally buy shares from the company at 12.5 cents a pop when they can buy shares at 11.5 cents a pop from the market? Why? Because if the company is unable to raise the money they need to hit their goals in a timely fashion then the company won't be able to hit their goals in a timely fashion. It's as simple as that. Phil Hearse, the chair, spent $200k buying shares from the company at 12.5 cents when he already has a bucket load of IG6 shares. My guess is his main motivation in forking over 200 grand is to help give the company enough funds to move ahead, not to buy some more shares as cheaply as he can.

The bottom line is the company needs about 200 committed shareholders to put in $5k each in the SPP so the company gets the $1m they are looking for to move forward. Each of those shareholders would be overpaying by $370 by paying 12.5 cents per share for 4,000 shares rather than by paying 11.5 cents per share. Really not much if it means International Graphite can keep progressing.
