I am a self funded retiree and , surprise , I cant live on air. So , unlike you , I am very active trading my positions to maximise the smsf returns and growth. Money from sale of IPD has gone into TLX and PER. Both are performing well and you will see my posts.

I hold 6 health stocks , valued around 40% of the australian equities I hold in the smsf , and about 1/6 of the total smsf.

Have i lost you yet ? If not let me know and I will drill down some more on a SMSF of a typical sophisticated / wholesale investor ?

is it all asx health? or do you also do USofA stocks.?
I have mentioned before ETF pink fund, you can see what positions they hold and what they don't hold by a character that used to run a 1B health fund and has now retired from that world and is quite generous with his knowledge.

Yes I agree, when you already have the stash and need to be defensive following momentum (upside to anything) is the best way to not have any significant drawdowns (sized appropriately and Vol adjusted).

Happy for you to share any insights on anything SMSF. How do compare now to near 0 interest rates?
