His rights are overlayed and constrained by a thing in the Corporations Act called Director's Duties and in Case Law by the obligations of Fidicuary Duties. Obviously doesn't care too much about that sort of stuff. Arrogance personified IMHO.
Regardless, his behaviour is obviously scaring off potential big shareholders. Otherwise an off market block sale could have and would have been done like so many companies broker for their substantial holders.
