We could compare AVB's five-year SP performance with that of some Li/graphite explorers such as PLA, ADV and VRC (formerly MOZ). In this case AVB's SP performance would look abysmal (Disclaimer: I hold PLA, ADV and VRC).
I commend you on bailing out based on the evidence as you saw it, and when the time was right for you. Although I am patient, I do not have endless patience. I hold for the time being.
