The $8 billion group told the China Mining 2004 congress that its Collurabbie project - a joint venture with Falcon Minerals near its Mount Keith nickel mine in central WA - may represent a new nickel province based on recent drill results.

Drilling had returned a series of high-value and rare intersections of nickel, copper and platinum group metals, WMC strategy and development manager Michael Nossal said.

"While it's still early days, the drill results at Collurabbie suggest we are onto a significant new nickel province," he said.
