Excellent and doesn't mean a sale won't go ahead. It basically just frees up the balance sheet but the underlying assets (ex-cash) that generate the earnings remains, so if another company is looking at the business or parts of the balance they're probably looking at it on a cash-free, debt-free basis.
Hugely de-risks shareholders and I'll gladly bank the cash. Also puts a nice floor under the share price until it goes ex-return.
