There's been quite a bit about the Murray Basin in recent presentations. A $40m mining trial (the 3rd trial) is scheduled to commence at Balranald in mid-2020. As I undertand it, if the trial is successful and Iluka proceeds with the development of Balranald, then the HMC would go to Hamilton for processing.
West Balranald is a 35 Mt resource grading 31% HM. In simple terms, that would give almost 1 Mtn pa of HM per annum for 10 years, resulting in about 100kt of zircon, 120kt of rutile and 650kt of ilmenite subject to all the issues of recovery etc.
