It's important to note that the reported Cash NPAT, being up 2%, is relative to the average of the 2H2022 two quarters, not the previous corresponding period (pcp).
The more important metric is Cash NPAT is up 13% on pcp ie. Sept quarter in 2021. This is a better guide for dividend growth over the next 12 months. And bear in mind also that the ongoing share buyback is boosting eps and potentially dividends per share.
NAB is generally considered the best of the chasing pack of the majors at the moment, their recent report showed Cash NPAT growth of 8%. It shows once again that the gap between CBA and the rest is not really closing.
