Suppressed? Why would you supress it for this action? The parties at the negotiating table know what the company is worth and what it isn't. The last issuance was at $1.02. Now it is $1.10 less that six months later that is an 8% gain in under six months in tough economic conditions. That all seems pretty good to me.
As far as the market traded price goes. That borders on irrelevant. Daily volume is around 7mil shares. This deal is for 857mil share so that is around a third of a year's trading volume.
Of course the market traded price is quite relevant for those with itchy trigger fingers. But they are more retail investors. And I must admit I'm one of them.
