What a greatannouncement but no surprise given the geology and previous mining history ofBig Hill pegmatites. Lithium, tantalite, REEs, tin and beryllium records and production was all previously recorded. As I posted in September:

Production at Strelley is recorded as 15t of Ta
2O5 although more elluvial/alluvial is noted. Snalso produced. Production deposits are derived from a large pegmatite dykestriking NNE with surface dimensions of 900m long and 25 to 250m wide. Strelleyalso recorded 38.56t of Beryllium ore containing 4,346.4kg of BeO.

Lithium is recorded from Rare Earth pegmatites atStrelley and Tabba Tabba. Although production of rare earths and yttrium arenoted from Tabba Tabba pegmatite dykes only.

The 1980 report below gives some description of the Strelleyand Tabba Tabba Lithium (Li), Rare Earths (REE), Tin (Sn), Beryl (BeO),Tantalite/Columbite (Fe,Mn)Ta
2O6/(Fe,Mn)Nb2O6 workings, production and geology (P200-220on the page not digital no.). All production was related to pegmatite dykes. Most of the production was from elluvial and alluvial deposits derived from thepegmatites. Emeralds to 8.68 carats (cut) have been found in Pilbarapegmatites. Li from rare earth pegmatites was recorded from Strelley and TabbaTabba. Beryllium and Tantalite production figures are discussed.

CNB is now a lithium and REE exploration stock!Yippee!

Lithium bearingpegmatites have been found largely within mafic sequences in contact withgranitic intrusives at Pilgangoora, Wodgina and Mt Francisco in the Pilbara. As CNB explain this is exactly the same geology at Big Hill – from the announcement today - “The Big Hill area isconsidered highly prospective for hard rock lithium mineralisation associatedwith LCT pegmatites of the Pilgangoora and Wodgina style deposits. The presenceof Split Rock Supersuite granites adjacent to the Berghaus Shear Zone at BigHill is significant as these granites are considered to be a likely source ofthe LCT pegmatites at Pilgangoora and Wodgina.

The giant worldclass Pilgangoora and Wodgina lithium mines are the largest hard rock lithiummines in the world. They are 60 & 80km from Big Hill and have the samegeology and anomalous minerals. Big Hill is an analogue to the Wodgina andPilgangoora world-class lithium projects.

Trace elements presentat Big Hill indicate some possible zoned anomalous tin-beryllium-niobiumgrading to lithium, tantalum and caesium (and REEs) - a typical zonationpattern for lithium pegmatites.

For comparison the Wodgina ore body is 1.8x1.5km and >500mdeep. The Big Hill anomaly is 1.5x0.5km indicating the potential for a substantial deposit. The consistency of the Li soil results is very impressive, strong results over the anomalous area. There are also anomalies on the east side of the shear zone that adds to the potential.

Another comparison - Karios at Wodgina recent results -
A new1.7km long target area was defined by coherent and robust LCT anomalies, withvalues of up to 238ppm Li, 293ppm Cs and 78ppb Ta returned from Ultrafine+TMsoil analysis with coincident elevated rubidium, indium and tungsten. Samplesfrom this target area returned the highest values for lithium, caesium, rubidium and tungsten of all the samples results received to date. The CNB Li results are of similar magnitude to the Karios results although the Cs and Ta are an order of magnitude lower.

CNB is now exploring a lithium project and is now acopper-gold and lithium stock. This is really solid and hard to see any direction but up. If the Big Hill Li soil anomaly reflects the ore at depth then this could be a world class deposit of the same ilk as Wodgina and Pilgangoora! Hold tight and enjoy the ride over the next year. This is now a buy IMHO!
