Not to mention they have given a massive portion of the funds they’ll receive in the ORG deal straight back to them in shares and performance shares… Heck if anyone is to believe SLC should go to >$2/share in the period of this ORG deal, then they essentially just made a deal worth zero $ and give ORG the position to aggressively take over SLC if the likes of ABB decide to sell their shares!! This feels very much like biting off one’s own nose to spite their face.
SLC is a good business but I am very concerned regarding this whole very muddy fight and deal they’ve gotten into. Hopefully the waters become clearer soon as a month prior to the ABB takeover this looked like a brilliant company to build a position in. Now I am not too sure. Sitting on the sidelines until things calm down for me!
