I mean the project nearly tripled in the scale of production, this was more or less expected by most.
luckily they have offtakes for the entirety of stage 1&2 locked in with global leaders, it’s a critical step in de-risking in financiers eyes that highlights viability of the project.
GM would have had access to complete DFS, known of the opex, and still gone ahead - as they know they can commercialise.
