Im a chartered accountant so this is my territory.
profit sounds great but accountant can introduce non cash items that can make profit look better or worse.
the market rewards cash generation from operations. If the market can see consistent cash flow from operations increasing it will then reward the business as this is in my opinion the best indication of a thriving business.
The result simply stated that cash balance remained stable. I wish they had expanded that by saying cash flow from operations was positive offset by investment in scale up
