26 August 2016 REQUEST FOR TRADING HALT In accordance with ASX Listing Rule 17.1, Zinc of Ireland NL (ASX: ZMI) (ìZMIî or ìCompanyî) requests an immediate trading halt of its securities pending the release of an announcement relating to a capital raising. The Company requests that the trading halt remains in place until the earlier of such time it makes and announcement to the market regarding the capital raising and the commencement of trading on Tuesday 30 August 2016. Zinc of Ireland NL is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted, nor any other information necessary to inform the market about the trading halt.
