Yes, this is correct and it's not an assumption as no lithium chemical plant would produce just 10,000t/yr or it doesn't justify the capex.

Although this particular JV doesn't yet have an official announcement of capacity (we don't even know location yet) as commercials are still being worked on, to give an example EVM's plant under construction in KSA is 50,000t/yr to begin with then ramp up to 150,000 tpa.

Some materials and offtakes would come from Australian mines. If to follow FTAs, you would see the links between Australia-KSA-UK. Hence I allude to them as we set to create this future "green economy" supply chains.

Saudi Arabia forms the supply chain link between Australia and UK's new FTA. This chemical plant would not just serve EU but UK too.

Also a friendly reminder, chemical processing plant needs not just lithium but a vast range of other chemicals and materials. This JV will open up opportunities to procure cheaper materials for the chemical plant and no longer be limited to complying with restricted EU directives for expensive materials.

From capex, a usual $1B cut by half at KSA. And the construction is scheduled won't be held to ransom by politics eg. the Greens.
