i totally get the dilution point, however, given the company will be bigger and stronger, it will be worth more.
An acquisition is sometimes not dilution.
Example: Company A worth $100 and 100 shares buys Company B worth $100 with 100 shares.
Result: Company C worth $200 and 200 shares.
Both companies are worth $1 per share.
What makes this even better (if It works), savings made through reduced overheads means Company C can add to its base value... Meaning more dollars per share.
It makes sense if the company can save those overheads.
