Auctus Resources at Chillagoe Mine Village
Auctus Resources awarded a contract to Ausco Modular to refurbish and rebuild the village to accommodate over 240 future employees and contractors who will work at Mungana and King Vol mine sites. Taking just 56 days, Ausco completed the refurbishment and construction and handed over the village on 20th September 2016. The village includes 244 air-conditioned and ensuite rooms, a gymnasium, outdoors recreation area, recreation room, and large mess/kitchen.
Following a very competitive tender process, Auctus Resources awarded a Facility Management Contract to Northern Rise on September 2016 who now have the Chillagoe Mine Village fully operational.
Since July 2016, Auctus and Ausco have set and achieved several key milestones.
- Refurbishment of existing 11 dongas (44 rooms)
- Installation of stairs, verandas, and landings
- Supply and assembly of 50 dongas (200 rooms)
- Supply and assembly of kitchen/mess
- Reconnection of sewer, water and electricity
- Landscaping, including tree-planting and mulching
- Provision of a 500kva standby generator
