Magnificent post @excitable2. However I think the big question is, what is the price of the shoes, or earbuds in our case. At $199, the IQbuds sold well, the price was low enough for the market to be willing to take a punt on a piece of new technology. $499 for the Boosts is quite a bit higher and is the hearing-impaired market willing to pay this for headphones (let's face it, the Boosts will never be hearing aids, they are headphones for the hearing-impaired). NUH has to be careful with how they price the Max, because the company doesn't yet have brand name awareness.
