Some people get lucky and then think they know it all. I've seen that so many times. I did the same myself prior to the GFC. Get it right over and over in a bull market, people start asking you for advice and it goes to your head. When we get too cocky, the market eventually bites us on the ass and reality hits back. The GFC taught me that pretty quickly. It also taught me not to use leverage so as not to get forced into selling at very oversold levels because the market and individual stocks can go far higher and far lower than you ever expected..
