SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA (4 AUGUST 2022)
Melbana Energy Limited (ASX: MAY) (Melbana) is pleased to provide this update on its drilling operations in the Block 9 contract area, onshore Cuba. The side-track hole is currently at 1,942 metres MD and still in the overburden, as prognosed. Progress is considered satisfactory, given the conditions. The target formation is estimated to commence at approximately 2,650 metres MD, although given the volcanics were encountered about 300 metres higher than expected it is now considered possible that the target formation may also be encountered at a shallower depth
