However even they have had trouble at times in drilling with success even with 3D.. But from mistakes comes leaning to those willing to adapt, hence the pressure kicks at A-1 and the stuck string at Zapato weren't hole killers by pure chance alone, these roughnecks are pretty sharp.
In fact plenty of exhaustive 3D studies have been conducted over the northern fold belt but that doesn't always guarantee success.. And on that note alone "AP's" statement of what has so far been achieved recognition.. !!

Also if you notice, A2 has 3 wells in close proximity and yet they went with Zapato which typically only shows a ref to Itabo in presentation filings, although I think VOGC or someone pointed out others.. Puentes-1 may be of interest?

Erroll & the boys have taken their time and learnt a lot of the lessons through engagement and I dare say direction by the Doc & CUPET, along with Sherritt. Because as we can see from the pathway taken to select the two primary targets a lot was done to ensure the best chance possible was achieved.. Now if that was 32% for A1 and only 23% for Zapato then I guess it what it is and I doubt you're likely to get any better..
But then again depending on the composition would you actually want one? I'll take a Cuban 23 over a bull*** 56 anyday ;-)

The risks have always been known and even with advanced overlays could not entirely be removed.. That's drilling I guess and possibly why 23 is 23? But a point of note is we have been drilling 120 odd days, had one stuck drill string, side tracked a well, lost a drill bit, reset the BOP twice and yet we are still in the game.. So with oil shows 1600m above us and possibly only 100 or 200m to go I'm starting to see that ol 23 is leaning a little on the ropes now, do we think? ....
