The Bible is LOUD and CLEAR, it says Jesus is The Rock.
Peter was simply one of many living stones, just as He says people are.
Jesus was not talking to himself but to Peter you dimwit.
So what if Peter were one of many living stones, Jesus identified Peter as the rock on which would build his church which is clearly stated in scripture.
Jesus was not addressing other "living stones".
You are diverting again in your disillusioned state.

Jesus told Peter NO such thing, you are inventing things and ADDING to scripture, which is clearly NOT there.

Matthew 16:
18 And I tell you that you are Peter,[a] and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
It is clear that Jesus was talking to Peter and not to himself.
It is clear Jesus designated Peter as this rock on which he would build his church.
It is clear that Jesus said that the gates of Hades would not overcome his church built on the rock that was Peter.

So Jesus came to Caesarea

he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

So the context of the conversation,isnt about anyone else.
BUT,WHO DO MEN SAY I AM(Jesus?)

14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.

Then Jesus asks a direct personal question
15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

Here Peter,gives a direct person answer to the question asked by Jesus,who do YOU THINK I AM?

16 And Simon Peter answered and said,

Thou art the Christ, the SON of the living God.

THIS IS PETERS ANSWER TO THIS DIRECT QUESTION

Then,what was Jesus reply to Peters answer?

17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Jesus answer,was that God showed Peter his answer,Peters answer was inspired by his father

18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter,(Petros)

and upon this rock

The ROCK OF PETERS ANSWER,THAT JESUS SAID GOD SHOWED PETER

THE FACT THAT PETER SAID

JESUS WAS THE SON OF GOD

I will build my church;

JESUS WILL BUILD HIS CHURCH ON THE FACT THAT JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD

and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

THE GATES OF HELL WONT PREVAIL AGAINST THE FACT JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD
