"It is now not safe for Australian military personnel to wear uniform in public."

What do you mean "It is NOW not safe......."?

A lot of Aussies didnt wear their uniforms unless necessary during the Vietnam War era, for fear of being jostled, spat on, being called "baby killers", etc, by an Australian public with a very minimum Muslim content, and a lot of whom participated in Peace and Anti-War marches, taking up collections for the Viet Cong in the process....... marching through cities chanting "Ho, Ho, Ho Chi Minh..."
Do you forget that, or just werent around yet? If that wasnt treason, I dont know what is......
And funnily, some of those marchers became well-known Labor figures, and members of the Whitlam Govt & beyond...
So its not correct to say "It is not safe now....", certified. The only difference is that now the enemy is the Australian Muslim population, and back then it was the Australian Anti-War population .
Its just so easy to stir up a population.....
