Update.
Unfortunately i'm overseas and the mrs had to go on her own. So much for renters rights. The judge acknowledged everything we said however we have to pay as we didn't follow the proper procedure. If you have a problem with the property you have to apply to Vcat for something to be fixed and if its not fixed within 2 weeks you can break a lease without charge. Going through the agent and putting up with their bullsh7t gets you nowhere. Trying to be a good tenant and allowing the crap to go on and on gets you nowhere.
The only positive is the judge told us to now take the landlord or agent to Vcat and get money back for our troubles.
What a stupid time wasting system. Why cant they just hear both sides out and make a decision on the events that took place. We had all of our emails, phone records and photos there.
Where to from here? The agent and landlord get away with this rubbish.
