I'm not a drug taker nor am I an advocate for drug taking. Especially driving under the influence of anything.
No drugs ever ? That would probably rule out at least half the peope that have been to university for example and a very large part of society in general. Most people have probably tried drugs at some level in their youth.
And we've seen that prohibition doesn't work very well.
It's about management just as we manage other legal substances.
If you want to get that hard on drugs we may as well ban alcohol as well. Look at the damage it does to society.
